Gonna take a wild, speculative leap here, as every one else seems to have said tooth or bone. Is it perhaps a section of a very corroded, choked shotgun barrel. It also vaguely resembles the nasal cavity of a large animal.

It does indeed look like a tooth. The hole going right through suggests to me that it might be hung about the neck. Size wise it looks as though it would make a good bearing for a fire-bow drill-bit. Keith.
